There are some places so special, it seems impossible to get them out of your mind after you leave. Tanque Verde Ranch is that kind of place. From the first moment I set foot on the resort, I knew I was in for an amazing experience. The kindness and helpfulness of the staff was evident as soon as I walked into the rustic lobby, surrounded by the classic accoutrements of the Old West. Tanque Verde Ranch really knows how to blend kitchy, conventional cowboy accessories, with classy and comfortable adornments of even the nicest five-star resort.
As I surveyed the property during my initial tour, I got excited about all of the things that are actually included at this all-inclusive. I found myself asking, “Is the breakfast horseback into mountains included?” Yep! “And the evening ride to the cowboy dinner?” Of course! “Hiking, mountain biking and tennis lessons?” You bet! There really is so much included at Tanque Verde Ranch!
The resort is ideal for so many types of people. Multi-generational families can keep everyone entertained with activities suited for every age group. It is perfect for families with children of any age, really, but especially from about four years-old and up. There is a fully-supervised program for kids ages four to eleven; the little cowpokes can swim, ride horses, play tennis and fish in the stocked fishing pond. Kids even have their own lunch room with movies. Older kids and parents have nearly unlimited activities to choose from as well. Hikes and bike rides are spectacular through the stately Saguaro cactus in the mountains that rise gently from the surrounding foothills. The entire family can start the day with the breakfast ride and end it with the evening ride and cowboy dinner, complete with a cowboy sing-a-long.
Couples will love spending time together in this peaceful setting. The swimming pools and the spa are beautiful and allow you to spend some time simply doing nothing but relaxing. The food is fantastic and plentiful, and the saloon next door makes for a perfect ending to the day.
Regardless of how you choose to spend your time at the resort, you will find a helpful staff ready and willing to help plan your days with activity, or lack of activity. Many of the staff members have worked for the ranch for many years, and are experts in their respective fields.
